Most of my friends know that I'm good at telling people what to do.  The truth is, I'm also good at following rules.  I'm going one step further - I think the two go hand in hand.  Those of us who like to direct, are often willing to follow (a good Director).  I just read Penelope Trunk's web-site about how to start a blog, she seems smart, so I'm following her rules, at least for now.  She said, "Post something right away."  Done.

Lately, I've been thinking about the expression, "it's not on my radar."  I know certain things ARE on my radar:  where to get good food in Portland, how much my stomach pops over the edge of my yoga pants, the amount of money in my checking account, whether my husband and daughter's behavior is pleasing me, the books I'm reading, for example.  And I know some things are NOT on my radar:  where people's accents imply they were raised, FOX news, Paris Hilton's love life, how thick the ice on Flying Pond is right now.  I'm happy enough those things aren't on my radar.  In fact, in some cases, it was a conscious choice.

What about all the stuff that's not on my radar that I don't even know about?  The stuff I might LOVE to have on my radar?  Like, using mind control to get everything I want, harnessing the space-time continuum to cause world peace now, lifting my toes as a way to support the democratic movement in Egypt.  Thatt pumps me up.  So, I'm starting my blog with a pump up title:  INFINITE RADAR.

I'm training myself to wake up, to pay attention, to remember that there is a universe of infinite possibilities and scenarios out there.  INFINITE RADAR, baby, my vision is expanding!
